These properties are thanks to the chemical composition and in particular the presence of lysozyme, apidicin and inhibin. Honey accelerates the healing of wounds, burns and frostbites. It improves the nutrition of the tissues. It has favorable effect on the cardiovascular system: regulates heart rate, lowers blood pressure, improves circulation and dilates coronary arteries. Propolis is a combination of various biologically active substances, such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons, nutrients and vitamins. The sum of activities of all these components guarantees effective antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Due to these properties, propolis is commonly used in ailments from digestive, urinary, reproductive systems and stomatology.

Vitamin C is an important component of balanced diet, because it is not synthesized in the human body.
